Ocean Racing Club of Victoria

Helly Hansen is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria to become the exclusive apparel partner to the club for the next 2 years.

Founded in 1986 to develop and improve the running of ocean races in Victoria, the club plays hosts to a number of world class events including the popular Melbourne to Hobart and Melbourne to Launceston races (Rudder Cup), as well as a number of series encouraging offshore sailing throughout the year.

Operating as a non-profit organisation the club has well formed relationships amongst the sailing community and has gained a reputation amongst Victorian sailors as safe and encouraging organisation for ocean racing.

'We see the partnership as a perfect fit for Helly Hansen,' says Helly Hansen marketing manager Matthew O'Callaghan. 'Our wide range of ocean racing gear and our reputation for protecting sailors and professionals on oceans around the world along with our strong sailing heritage will allow this partnership to flourish and bring value to both the ORCV community and our brand.'

The partnership was officially announced in April 2012 and HH's involvement will be evident from the get-go with ORCV Crew Packages available to members wishing to purchase uniforms, along with special offers to the 5 retail stores in Melbourne and Sydney.
